GUM Survey Results - 2017

In July 2017 we ran a public survey about GUM usage and user preferences regarding old and new genres in the GUM corpus. Below we share some of the aggregated results from 24 responses we received, as well as the decision for new genres starting in Fall 2017.

  1. Do you know the GUM corpus and have you used it?
  2. How would you rank the usefulness of the current genres in GUM?
(points awarded: 1 for first place, 1/2 for second, 1/3 for third, 1/4 for fourth)
  3. How would you rank the priority of adding these possible new genres?
(points awarded: sum(1/#place) for each placement, e.g. 1/2 point for a single second place ranking)
  4. How important is it to keep GUM under a 100% Creative Commons license?
